Important Safety Information

Finasteride

Finasteride is for use by men only and must not be used by women who are or may become pregnant, or by children. Women who are pregnant should not handle crushed or broken tablets. Possible side effects include decreased libido, erectile dysfunction and ejaculation disorder; these may continue after stopping in a small number of men. Finasteride lowers PSA levels, so tell your clinician before a prostate screening. Rare reports of depressed mood have been made.

Apomorphine, sildenafil, tadalafil and vardenafil

Do not take these medicines if you take nitrates (such as nitroglycerin) or riociguat — the combination can cause a sudden, dangerous drop in blood pressure. Tell your clinician if you take an alpha-blocker or have heart disease, low blood pressure, or a history of stroke. Sexual activity may not be advisable if you have certain heart conditions. Possible side effects include headache, flushing, indigestion, nasal congestion, dizziness, nausea and changes in vision. Seek immediate medical care for an erection lasting more than four hours, or for sudden loss of vision or hearing. This preparation is compounded by a licensed pharmacy; compounded medicines are not FDA-approved and are not reviewed by the FDA for safety or effectiveness.

Oral minoxidil

Oral minoxidil is prescribed off-label for hair loss and is not FDA-approved for this use. Possible side effects include fluid retention and swelling, increased heart rate, lightheadedness, and unwanted hair growth elsewhere on the body. It may not be appropriate if you have cardiovascular disease, low blood pressure, or kidney problems.
